 King Philip Little League
Every spring, Gil's Appliances sponsors a T-ball team for the King Philip Little League. The youngest athletes in the league have a wonderful time learning America's favorite pastime and making new friends.
|  St. Vincent de Paul Society
Gil's Appliances' recent donation of a Frigidaire Freezer to the St. Joseph's Church Soup Kitchen in Newport, RI, is just one example of how Gil's supports its community.
"Our family is thrilled to have the opportunity to help out the soup kitchen at St. Joseph's Church," states Gail Parella and Lisa Sienkeiwicz. "In the past the soup kitchen was limited in the number of food donations they could accept as they had no facility to store all the perishables, so they asked us for a quote on a new freezer. It was the consensus in our company to give back to the communtiy and what better way than a donation of an appliance to the wonderful folks at the St. Joe's soup kitchen so they can continue to feed more people."

 Blithewold Mansion, Gardens and Arboretum
Gil's Appliances is pleased to support Blithewold Mansion Gardens and Arboretum. This year they are one of the sponsors of Blithewold's Centennial celebration. Blithewold, long recognized as New England’s finest seaside garden estate, is celebrating its centennial year this year. The celebration began with a 12th Night dinner and continues throughout 2008 with a series of events to mark the estate’s 100th birthday, including a Centennial Gala, The Celebration of a Century to be held on Saturday, August 16th.
 In addition to the centennial celebration, Gil's Appliances has also sponsored Blithewold's Spring Daffodil Days event. Every April, Blithewold opens its doors and grounds for a new season of eye-filling events running spring through fall. It starts with Daffodil Days - a spectacular massive presentation of over 50,000 daffodils in full bloom on the edge of Narragansett Bay. |
